Water Resource Development

PDA has been developing water resource and community sanitation programs since 1980 using appropriate technology, stimulate community participation, training villagers to develop skills and knowledge necessary for its comprehensive ‘Water for Health and Wealth’ program whose success has been recognized by the World Bank and others. It comprised the provision of thousands of rainwater tanks and giant jars, shallow and deep wells, small dams and reservoirs, toilets etc.

More recently PDA’s expertise in this field has been used for the ‘Community-Based Integrated Solar PV Water Supply’ program supported by various international and private sector donors. Altogether, hundred thousands of villagers all over Thailand, but also in neighboring countries like Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar have benefitted from the organization’s water supply projects.
